Everal Aqua Primer

Description
Waterborne acrylic primer for priming of interior wood and wooden like surfaces. Primer can be used on metal surfaces in dry areas that do not require corrosion protection. It is also suitable for renovation priming of previously printed surfaces with alkyd or chemically harden paints. They very well levels the base before applying the enamel topcoat.

The product has a recommendation of the Polish Society of Allergy. 

Recommended uses
The paint is designed for priming of interior wood and wood like surfaces such as: windows, doors, furniture, baseboards. It recommended also to metal surfaces in dry areas such as radiators.

Brush, roller, airless spray.

Conditions for airless spray:

- pressure: 140-160 bar

- nozzle: 0,013”-0,015”

- thinning: 0-5% vol
Drying times
In temperature +23°C, and relative air humidity 50% dust dry after 1 h, application of next coat after approx. 2 hrs. Application of the finish coat after approx. 5 hrs.
Density
Approx. 1,3 kg/l.
Storage
Storage and transport in tightly closed containers in temperature +5°C – +25°C in dry and ventilated areas. Protect from frost and direct sunlight.

APPLICATION DETAILS
Application conditions
Painted surface must be dry. Painting carried out in temperature from +8°C to +25°C and relative air humidity below 80%.
Preparation
All surfaces should be thoroughly cleaned from dirt, dust and grease. Previously painted surfaces clean with Tikkurila Maalipesu. Rinse cleaned surface thoroughly with water and allow to dry. Remove the flaking pieces of old paint. Smooth and shiny surface should be roughened and thoroughly dusted. If necessary, level the surface with a suitable filler, and after drying sand and remove dust. Notice: Wood surfaces having knots and a tendency to yellowing resulting from the leakage of resin and other substances that cause pigmentation, protect with primer Tikkurila Multistop accordance with the instructions for use, and then apply the enamel.
Previously painted surfaces: should be washed carefully with special agents to remove all contaminations. Rinse carefully with water and allow to dry. Remove the flaking pieces of old paint with a scraper. Hard surfaces and smooth roughened with sandpaper, then carefully remove dust.
Painting
Before painting stir the product thoroughly. If necessary, dilute with water to 5% by volume. Apply with a brush, roller or spray. Absorbent wooden surfaces primed with primer first diluted with 5-10% vol., sanded, and then, if necessary, apply a coat of undiluted primer Tikkurila Everal Aqua Primer. In order to obtain a very smooth surface before application of enamel it is recommended to sand the primed surface with sandpaper. It is recommended to use ANZA tools.
Cleaning of tools
Before washing tools should be thoroughly wiped in order to remove as much paint. Clean tools with water immediately after the completion of the work.

Cat. A/g. Acceptable VOC content since 2010r. - 130 g/l. Product contains below 130g/l of VOC.


HEALTH AND SAFETY LABELLING
according to Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008
During application wear protective gloves/clothing. Contains: 1,2-benzisothiazol-3(2H)-one. May produce an allergic reaction. Closed spaces after application of the paint should be ventilated until the odor disappears after this time they are suitable for use. Material Safety Data Sheets available on customer request.

Empty containers and packaging containing residues of paints pass to the point for the collection of this waste. Detailed information on the possibility of collecting waste from your local Municipal Office.
