Create a delicate atmosphere with a shimmering glaze surface
Subtle pearlescent effect
Taika Pearl Glaze
Misty light, pearlescent glaze
Taika Pearl Glaze is a semi-transparent product which gives a subtle pearlescent finish to existing opaque wall coatings.
Create a shimmering surface over paint
The translucent glaze is applied as an effect over painted wall surfaces. To obtain the most harmonious outcome, choose a primer colour as close as possible to the colour of the glaze. The Taika colour card provides recommendations for primer colours.
Power from light
Delicate colours and a light-reflective wall surface fit together. The playful combination of pearlescent and matt surfaces creates fun results. Experiment with stenciled patterns or draw a large, projected image on top of the glaze.
A silver sheen or the richness of gold?
Available in a wide range of colours from the Taika pearl glaze range, the Taika system is a simple solution for achieving unique finishes on interior surfaces.

Safety Data Sheet - TAIKA Pearl Glaze
Colour and light, together create ambience. But rarely have they come together so enchantingly and mystically as in Tikkurila's Pearl Paints and Glazes, where it is as if light has been captured inside the very colour itself. With shimmering Taika Pearl Paints and translucent Taika Glazes you can create magical spaces with dreamlike, fairytale ambiences. Silver-based Taika Pearl Paints and Glazes produce bright, pearlescent shades, while gold-based colours create warm and spicy moods.
InstructionsConsumption varies depending on the surface to be treated and its condition. Absorption is affected e.g. by the surface roughness, moisture content level of timber and porosity. For example, log surface that has been untreated for a long time takes a lot more wood finish than a new surface to be treated.
When calculating the consumption, note that the consumption for round logs is 1.5 times higher than normal. Please also note the corner joints in the surface area.
