Tikkurila offers a variety of industrial paints and coatings for steel construction. All of these systems meet the ISO 12944 global corrosion protection standard. There are various different levels of protection available; C2, C3, C4, C5-I, and C5-M. A relevant selection between these levels will be dependant on the corrosiveness of the environment surrounding the structure.
These standards also determine the durability of the product, which have the following effect on the time between major maintenance rounds:
- High Durability (H): Design life greater than 15 years
- Medium Longevity (M): Design life span of 5–15 years
- Low Durability (L)L Design life span less than 5-years
