Carry out maintenance when necessary. Surfaces continuously exposed to the weather may need to be treated annually
During treatment and drying, air, surface, and product temperature must be at least +5 º C and relative air humidity less than 80%.
Remove all dirt, dust and loose material from the surface. Wash off mould with Tikkurila Homeenpoisto (Mould Removal) or Tikkurila Tehopesu (Super Clean) according to instructions.
Surface previously treated with wood oil:
Remove loose material from the surfaces with a scraper or wire brush. Clean and wash if necessary with Homeenpoisto (Mould Removal) or Tehopesu (Super Clean) according to instructions. If a clear film remains on the surface, remove it before treatment.
Clean dirty surfaces with Tikkurila Huoltopesu Maintenance Cleaner (1 part of Maintenance Cleaner to 10 parts water). Remove stains and clean very dirty surfaces with a stronger solution of Maintenance Cleaner (1:1). After washing, rinse the surfaces and allow to dry.

Wooden surfaces are exposed to unrelenting weathering from sunshine and humidity. Semi-transparent wood finishes protect wood surfaces against the weather, retarding the adverse effects of moisture and UV-light, without covering up the beautiful wood grain.

Instructions
Consumption varies depending on the surface to be treated and its condition. Absorption is affected e.g. by the surface roughness, moisture content level of timber and porosity. For example, log surface that has been untreated for a long time takes a lot more wood finish than a new surface to be treated. When calculating the consumption, note that the consumption for round logs is 1.5 times higher than normal. Please also note the corner joints in the surface area.
