A Guide to Tikkurila Floor Paints
Floors don't have it easy. Garage floors with cars running over daily, or even just a highly trafficked walkway, floors take a beating! And we still expect them to look pristine.
This is where a premium floor paint such as Tikkurila's quality offering comes in. Crafted from the highest quality materials these interior paints won't only look the part, but will withstand the challenges that come their way too.
All of our floor paints are available in the colossal collection of Tikkurila colours. Just because it's a floor doesn't mean it can't look good, right?
The easiest way to understand our floor paint collection is to break it into two parts. Paints that have to withstand a level of stress, and those that don't.
Standard Floor Paints
This section is made up of two products which include Betolux and Betolux Akva.
Betolux is a urethane alkyd floor paint with a gloss finish that can be applied to interior wood and concrete floors. It can also be used for repainting epoxy floors or any floor that has been painted with alkyd paints previously.
The Betolux Akva is a water-based paint that can also be applied to wooden and concrete floors. It comes in a semi-gloss finish. It also benefits from being M1 classified.
Stress-Resistant Floor Paints
The second group of interior floor paints has been specifically designed for durability. We have three products in this category.
Solid Water is the paint that is made for surfaces that may endure light stress. It's a water-borne one-pack polyurethane acrylate paint. And it can be applied to wood or concrete surfaces.
Next, we have the Medium-Stress Solid Epoxy. This water-borne two-pack epoxy gives a concrete floor a tough outer shell. It is best suited to washing rooms or areas where you will be storing sports equipment to give you a few ideas.
Now, for floors that need to withstand a lot of stress, we have the Heavy Stress Solid Epoxy. This is a two-pack epoxy solvent-free paint that works as a paint on garage floors, or highly trafficked public places that have concrete floors. Once dry it has a premium gloss finish.
