A kitchen is the heart of any home. Read on to learn everything you need to know about adding colourful dual-tone cabinets to it.

Contrasting Dark and Light Tones
Bring out the best of your kitchen with strong contrasting-tone kitchen cabinets.
This is a smart way to create the illusion of space if you have a darker hue on the outside and a lighter shade on the inside. Attention is drawn to the centre of the room. Strategic lighting can also help emphasise this too.
While a wide range of darker shades can work well in this decor we quite going closer to the extremes of it with black and white cabinets. Take a look at our Blackbird Y493, its pitch-black appearance brings instant drama to a room.
Alternatively, if you would rather have a softer black then Duke X491 will be the answer to your problems. It has subtle blue undertones that add a smoother appearance to your space and blend slightly more with the lighter cabinets.
For your lighter tone, off-white paint will work best. This just helps ease the transition between both styles. Arctic Fox S503 is an excellent choice for contrasting cabinets. This light tone has hints of cream and white throughout. A stunning combination.

Open your Space with Bright Blue and Cream Tones
Bright and spacious kitchens can be easily achieved with creative uses of colour and one of our favourite combinations is muted blues and softer cream tones. This colour combination opens a room up and will reflect light very effectively making it well-suited to small kitchens that feel a little stuffy.
There are many ways white and blue kitchen cabinets can work together. It could be having the lower and upper cabinets in different shades or having the kitchen island contrast from the wall cabinets.
You have a few different directions you can go with your blue cabinets. You could choose a lighter and more shade of blue paint such as Cumulus Y354 which will double down on that airy and open vibe. If you would rather something a bit darker can opt for something a little deeper shade of blue such as Atlantis L433 to emphasise the differences.
When it comes to picking that cream tone to complement the blue cabinets we recommend taking a look at Calla G503. This light cream shade has smooth yellow undertones that add a soft warmth to your kitchen.
