Industrial Cladding Refurbishment

Gap Research Ltd partnered with Tikkurila and Tritec Ltd to transform a tired industrial unit in Ebbsfleet.

The project involved the refurbishment of 800m² of aged plastisol-coated metal cladding using Tikkurila’s durable two-pack polyurethane system. A combination of Temadur 20 and Temadur 50 in BS 12 B 29 provided long-lasting protection and a striking finish.

The refreshed façade not only enhances kerb appeal but also extends the building’s lifespan—delivering excellent value for industrial refurbishment.

Stockport

Emerson Building

Full Façade Restoration

Quadriga Ltd commissioned a major exterior upgrade of the Emerson Building in Stockport, targeting both the metal cladding panels and prominent concrete towers.

Tikkurila’s high-performance Temadur 20/50 system was used on the metal surfaces, while Hydrosol Primer and Finngard Opaque delivered durable, elastomeric protection for the concrete. The result is a smart, modern façade that enhances aesthetic appeal and weather resistance across over 2,000m².

Applied by Keith Olive Painting Contractor, the September 2018 refurbishment highlights the versatility of Tikkurila systems across mixed substrates.

Moss Side Leisure Centre

PVF2 Cladding Refurbishment

As part of an £8m regeneration initiative, Manchester City Council commissioned Parkfield Painting Contractors to revitalise the exterior of the Moss Side Leisure Centre.

The project focused on 500m² of aged PVF2-coated cladding, which was in clear need of renewal. Tikkurila's Temadur 20 system in RAL 5010 Blue was specified to provide a vibrant, long-lasting finish with excellent resistance to UV and weathering. The bold new look gives this community facility a fresh identity, blending architectural impact with proven durability.

Cladding Overhaul in Goosewing Grey

Zurich Assurance Ltd engaged D&D to restore 1,000m² of heavily weathered plastisol cladding at Unit 6, Wardley Industrial Estate.

Tikkurila’s Temadur 20 two-pack polyurethane system was applied in RAL 7038 Goosewing Grey, offering an anti-corrosive, UV-stable finish suitable for demanding industrial environments. The transformation was striking, with the clean, contemporary tone revitalising the unit’s appearance while ensuring long-term protection.
