Why is air purifying technology a development in paint production?
While we often focus on exterior air pollution, indoor air tends to be at least five times more polluted than outdoor air, and a focus is required to improve these levels.
One of the substances that makes interior air so toxic is formaldehydes. Formaldehydes are often found in everyday products in the home, including wood furniture, concrete, carpets, blankets, air conditioners, refrigerators, and other building materials. Formaldehyde are cancerogenic, and can trigger asthma, allergies, and other irritations.
How does this work?
Optiva Clean Air uses an innovative technology binder which has formaldehyde catching properties.
When formaldehyde is present in the air, it is absorbed by Optiva Clean Air, ultimately becoming part of the dried paint - evenly dispersed during application. The result is a significant reduction in levels of formaldehyde in the room air.
Proven effective under two different independent laboratory testing methods (including ISO 16000:23 for EU).
