A Guide to Tikkurila's Ceiling Paint

Finding the right interior paint for the job can be a challenge. There are so many to choose from. You can find yourself asking which products you actually need and what will actually be best for your needs.

No matter if you are decorating ceilings in living rooms, bedrooms, or even often problematic rooms such as kitchens, we have the paint for the job.

Let's take a look at our full collection.

Anti Reflex 2

Anti Reflex 2 is a staple of our ceiling paint offering. It's very highly regarded by professionals and DIYers alike. And for good reason.

Anti Relex 2 is a water-based latex paint which is anti-reflective, won't flash, and can easily be touched up without standing out.

Once dried it leaves a deep matt finish and is fantastic at concealing any minor imperfections on your ceilings.

The only drawback is that it is only available in pure brilliant white and magnolia. Though this isn't that much of a big deal seeing those are the most popular colours for ceilings.

Optiva Colour

Next, we have Optiva Colour. This is another water-based latex paint with a matt emulsion finish. It has been specifically designed to reduce sparking and flashing.

It offers great coverage for a perfect finish and is available in the full Tikkurila colour collection. This will allow you to be very adventurous when trying to achieve your dream decor.

Nova

Another ceiling paint we have on offer is Nova our water-based solvent-free standard emulsion paint. We offer Nova in three sheen levels which are full-matt, matt, and eggshell. This is Nova 2, 7, and 20 respectively.

The 7 and 20 are available in a broad range of light and dark colours while Nova 2 can only be bought in light pastel colours.

Luja

The last Tikkurila paint we will cover is Luja 7. This paint has been specially formulated to withstand high-moisture environments such as a kitchen or bathroom. It is very durable and has resistance to dirt along with an anti-mould agent for extra protection.

It also has M1 accreditation for its low VOCs an important consideration, especially when used in bathrooms seeing that these areas are often quite confined spaces in your house.
