The Process

The process of renovating the gym's ceiling began with rigorous preparation. RH Painting & Decorating Ltd started by ensuring that the surface was in prime condition. To achieve this, they used the Mirka Leros sander, expertly sanding down the ceiling's surface as well as filling any gaps and cracks where needed.

For the paint, the team turned to Tikkurila's best-selling Anti Reflex 2 ceiling paint. This is a high-opacity, flat matt (2%) paint specially designed for interior ceilings. This choice offered a multitude of benefits for this project. Any concerns about flashing were eliminated, ensuring a uniform finish across the entire ceiling. Regardless of the angle of the lighting, the surface maintains a flat and deep matt finish.

Moreover, Anti Reflex 2 boasts a non-dripping and non-splashing formula, making the application process efficient and tidy. In a large space like a gym, this contributes to a seamless and hassle-free renovation. This product's exceptional qualities, including its resistance to flashing, made it the perfect choice for this project.
