Preparation & Priming

The first step in any masonry renovation is thorough preparation. To ensure a clean and sturdy foundation, Ray Horton Painting and Decorating began by washing the exterior surfaces with an anti-fungal agent. Loose debris was removed, and cracks were raked out to create a stable base. Next, a high-quality masonry repair filler was applied to fill these gaps and ensure a seamless look. This preparatory work was crucial to achieving a flawless final result.

Painting

With the surfaces primed and prepared, it was time to add a fresh coat of paint. For this project, Ray Horton Painting and Decorating chose Finngard Opaque a low-maintenance acrylic masonry paint with excellent durability.

Two coats of Finngard Opaque were carefully applied, providing not only a refreshed new look but also long-term protection. This paint offers high weather resistance, meaning it can stand up to the harshest of elements, ensuring that the exterior looks its best for years to come.
