Your kitchen is the heart of your home, and when it's time for a fresh start, a renovation can make all the difference. In this article, we'll walk you through the process of a kitchen makeover completed by Thompson Decorating Services.

Preparation & Priming

The first step in any renovation is preparation. To get things started, the team began by removing the doors and drawer fronts, and thoroughly washing down the surfaces with Tikkurila Maalpesu Cleaning Agent, which effectively removed any dirt or grime, leaving behind a clean canvas. For any imperfections in the wooden surfaces, Helmi Furniture Filler was used ensuring a smooth and flawless finish.

With the surfaces prepped and ready, it was time to give the kitchen furniture a brand new look. For the primer, the painter opted for Otex Akva Primer, which not only provides a solid foundation but also enhances the adhesion of the paint to the surfaces.

Painting

Moving on to the topcoat, the decorator turned to the trusty Helmi paint. Thompson Decorating Services expertly applied three coats of Helmi 30 (semi-matt), ensuring a flawless finish capable of withstanding regular cleaning, steam, and everyday wear and tear.

For this project, our decorator made full use of our colour-matching service, precisely meeting the client's unique colour preferences. The final result not only looked exceptional but also perfectly captured the client's vision.
