RJA Painting & Decorating was tasked with restoring a wooden sideboard to its former glory. The sideboard had suffered from wear and tear, with a dull finish and visible imperfections. The client's desire for a luxurious, metallic, pearlescent finish presented a unique project.
RJA approached the project with meticulous attention to detail, prioritising preparation and using high-quality products.
Before
Preparation
To create a clean canvas for the new finish, the team began by thoroughly degreasing the sideboard using Maailpesu cleaning agent, removing any dirt or grime that may interfere with the paint's adhesion.
The sideboard was then sanded down twice, ensuring a smooth and even surface for the subsequent coats.
Two coats of Otex Primer were applied to the sideboard, providing a robust base for the topcoat and enhancing the finish's overall durability.
Painting
The final step was the application of Taika Pearl paint in the exquisite copper shade TVT 2078. This pearlescent paint, renowned for its metallic sheen and depth, was carefully applied in two coats to achieve the desired luxurious effect.
