Before and after

Preparation & Priming

Before the magic began, the Emerson Park Decorators team got everything ready with great care. They covered up all the furniture, sockets, and special features like the marble fire surround to make sure no dust or paint could cause damage. Next, the wooden paneling was put up with impeccable precision, adding more character and a personalised touch to the home.

To prime the fresh plaster on walls and ceilings, they used Nova 2 trade emulsion. This high-opacity, flat matt paint is a perfect choice for plaster as it helps prevent the surface from soaking up too much paint, maximising efficiency and creating a solid foundation for the topcoat.

Painting

With all surfaces primed and dried, Anti Reflex 2 was chosen for the ceiling topcoat to give it a bright, crisp white look.

For the walls, two types of paint were used: Nova 2 (flat matt) and Optiva 5 (matt), depending on the desired finish in each room. The woodwork was coated in Everal Aqua Semi Matt 40.

As the customer had a specific colour scheme in mind, Emerson Park Decorators utilised our colour-matching service, enabling them to fulfill the customer's vision while giving the surfaces the premium and durable finish of Tikkurila paints.
