How Do I Paint Interior Ceramic Tiles?

Most ceramic tiles can be painted, as long as it's not frequently subjected to water or heavy wear. For instance, you can paint tiles on a bathroom wall, but avoid painting tiles that line a bathtub, shower, or that are on the floor or a countertop. It is essential that all primers and topcoats are allowed to CURE fully prior to washing or cleaning, please refer to individual product data sheets for curing times.

Wash tiles thoroughly with Tikkurila cleaning agent or any good quality readily available home cleaning material. Avoid cleaning agents that leave a residue or contain light aggregate. These leave a deposit and will cause a loss of adhesion.
