Yes it can. In addition, Muuri is suitable for use on concrete, lime, lime cement, cement plaster, sandlime brick and brick surfaces as well as mineral board surfaces indoors. Suitable also for surfaces previously painted with lime, lime cement, cement and silicate paints.
Traditional methods of plastering come with some drawbacks. Speed of application, product material waste, and inconsistent finish quality are some of the problems.
Tikkurila spray plasters are a faster, more consistent, and cleaner method of application while also ticking many boxes in terms of sustainability. Application is up to three times faster than conventional methods and drying times are fast enough to allow following trades to be at work within a maximum of two days.

- Ready-to-use, even quality, and even colour.

Luja is our high-performance system and is suitable for environments where ventilation is a problem and high levels of constant humidity and moisture are present e.g. swimming pools, wet rooms and surfaces where mould propagation are an issue.
Luja is certainly suitable for a bathroom with no windows.

The paint you select will very much depend on the surface type and condition of the room, feel free to drop us an e-mail so we can guide you further on this one
It's highly unlikely that painting or being around paint fumes while you're pregnant will harm your unborn baby, as the risk from our modern water-based paints is very low.
However, to minimise the risk, we recommend using our Joker, a totally safe paint that does not affect the air quality in the room that you are painting (even when wet) and is safe to use while pregnant.
With all our products, we do recommend using the full system including our primers. However, if you have pre-primed furniture, you can order a sample pot to ensure Helmi will adhere to the surface.
You can use either Helmi or Everal Aqua on kitchen cupboards, both are perfect for the job. Most of our customer base use Helmi as this product is designed for painting furniture and has excellent self levelling properties.
When you are painting with children, use a paint that does not release harmful compounds even when used for an extended period. Tikkurila's range of products includes both paints and lacquers that meet these requirements and are suitable for painting everything in your kid's room, including the walls, furniture, and toys.
All of Tikkurila's paints suitable for children's rooms - such as Joker, Helmi, Taika Pearl Paint, Liitu blackboard paint - are in the highest M1 category for surface materials.
Yes...but we would always recommend using our Anti Reflex 2 paint for ceilings because it's a dead matt, non-flash paint making it great for areas of critical light. It's also very easy to touch up with strong hiding power.
The award-winning Anti Reflex 2 is a real favourite with our customers. Click here to check out the reviews
We don't recommend this approach. Using separate products (depending on the substrate), ensures you get the best quality, long-lasting results from our products.
However, we do have lots of complimentary paints and can help you with the best combinations in the same colour choice and sheen level (so they will look the same).

Fontefire WF is a water-borne one-component intumescent paint for wooden surfaces that offers the highest possible fire-retardant properties for interior wood surfaces. When subjected to heat, Fontefire WF expands to form an insulating foam layer which slows down the spread of fire and reduces smoke formation.
Fontefire WF Clear is a water-based intumescent lacquer, which also gives the highest possible fire retardant properties on wood. When subjected to heat, Fontefire WF Clear expands and forms an insulating layer of foam.

Yes, Finngard Opaque, our exterior masonry paint is microporous. The term 'microporous' is often applied to specialist paints and stains and describes a coating that acts as a barrier to liquid water, but allows water vapour to pass through. The special feature about the coating is that it keeps rainwater out of the substrate, but allows moisture that has found its way into the substrate to escape as a vapour. Although almost all coatings will act as a barrier to liquid water, it is not correct to imply that coatings can be made so that moisture vapour can only travel through them in one direction. Moisture vapour will be able to pass through a coating equally well in either direction: from places where there is more moisture, to places where there is less moisture. The rate at which moisture passes through a coating is controlled by the permeability of the coating, the moisture content gradient, the film thickness, and the temperature.
We recommend the interval between coats is at least 3 hours.
Tikkurila have two clear products suitable for protecting driveways and paving, Hydroblock WB & ProCover WB.
ProCover WB penetrates the substrate providing a water and grease and oil repellent surface that inhibits the growth of algae and atmospheric contamination.
