How Do I Paint Interior Window Frames?

Painting the windows in your home can make them look brand new.

Preparation
Windows are likely to have collected dirt and grease over time, so you need to thoroughly wash and abrade with wet and dry paper with a mild detergent or Tikkurila's. Ensure any glossy surfaces are flattened. Dust off when sanded

Paint
If you have a brand new bare wooden windows, you will need to treat it with a wood primer before painting. We recommend Otex Akva for previously painted windows or Helmi Primer for bare wood.

Painting

Tikkurila's topcoat options are noted below:

  1. Everal Aqua 10, Everal Aqua 40 or Everal Aqua 80, depending on sheen level required
