What Should I Use To Paint A Garden Building Or Summer House?
When painting a garden building or summer house, consideration must be given to the colour being used and the prevalence of knots across the surface. Unfortunately, it is almost impossible to prevent knots bleeding. Instead, it is advisable to take knots and resin bleeding into account before painting. Please see our recommended application steps below.
Process:
Wash down thoroughly, remove mould and algae growth with an appropriate cleaning agent like Tikkurila's Mould Removal Solution
Option 1 - For an opaque finish
Prime: 1 coat of Ultra Primer
Topcoat: 2 coats of Valtti Opaque.
Option 2 - For a wood stain finish
Apply 2 coats of any of the following options:
- Valtti Color (solvent-based matt)
- Valtti Color Extra (solvent-based semi-gloss)
- Valtti Plus Kesto (water-based semi-matt)
- Valtti Arctic (pearlescent finish)
